Guide for American Solar Thermal Tile System
There
are several short payback applications for the American Solar Thermal
Tile Systems and Panel. Each application delivers different amounts
of energy in different climates and in different uses.
The
following tables provide guidance on how best to apply the solar
thermal tile system. For the panel system, estimate the energy delivery
at 75% of the values listed below.

Ask about roof top unit preheating, hot water heating, and new
solar storage buildings that pay for themselves from the energy
dollars you save. Simply buy the heat and we will install the solar
roofed storage building for your use.
The Colder the Climate, the More You Save
Everyone knows solar energy produces lots of heat in the desert
southwest. What many people don't know is that there is plenty of
solar energy available in the colder northern climates. It is in
those climates that solar energy can save the most money and repay
the investment quickly. It is the combination of heating needs and
solar availability that creates the savings.

Note: All values represent what could be expected in generalized areas
of the country and for a typical applications. However, each application
requires a specific evaluation of the conditions at the site. The
values above provide a first estimate of energy and cost savings,
when the solar thermal tiles are facing south, with a 50 degree tilt,
and delivering energy to typical heating loads.
However, contact American Solar or a solar thermal tile provider
to get an assessment of your site to support planning for your project.
