Solar Industry Links

US Dept of Energy(DOE)
Many links on solar energy; from the US DOE Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Network. This is one of the best Web sites for all around information on energy efficiency and renewable energy. Note: This DOE Web site covers several older solar energy technologies for which the Department has active, funded research programs. They do not cover many current solar technologies such as American Solar's roofing, siding, or ground mounted Heater Board systems since they have no active research on these simple technologies. Some care must be taken when reading conclusions regarding these older technologies compared to more current solar air heating systems, since their conclusions only refer to the older technologies (including only PV, solar hot water, transpired collectors).

Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)
An association of industries promoting and dealing in solar energy. The site has links to many resources, and is a good starting place for solar energy questions.

American Solar Energy Society (ASES)
Dedicated to advancing solar energy technologies. Look for division activities to see solar thermal and solar buildings materials.

Solar Energy International (SEI)
Provides information on renewable energy education and sustainable development.
